For Grundfos Pumps Australia, a sales company of one of the world’s leading pump manufacturers – Grundfos, AUSTRALIAWIDE gave an impactful presentation on Visual Merchandising to approximately 70 of their 600 Australia and New Zealand dealers at the Grundfos annual conference in July 2015.
The Presentation emphasised the importance of visual merchandising acting as ‘silent sellers’ in their stores and covered the key principles of visual merchandising. As a reward for their conference attendance and an incentive for these dealers to improve their store layouts, signage and visual merchandising, Grundfos offered them a complimentary Store VM Audit conducted by AUSTRALIAWIDE.
From August to October, six of AUSTRALIAWIDE’s leading Visual Merchandising Consultants hit the road and airways, and covered a massive 31,200 km. Accompanied by Grundfos Account Managers, they completed Audits in 67 dealerships in locations as far apart as Atherton, Emerald and Roma in Queensland, Griffith, Dubbo, Tamworth, Coffs Harbour and Ballina in New South Wales and Naracoorte in South Australia. The consultants wrote high quality audit reports for each store, complete with photographs and recommendations for a wide range of improvements such as:
– External Signage
– Car Park Layout
– Window Displays
– Store Entrance and Counters
– Floor Layout
– Internal Signage
– Fixtures
– Product proximities
– Hot Spots, Dead Spots and Displays
– Flooring and Lighting
– Stock Merchandising and Ticketing
The reports have given these dealers a comprehensive blueprint for improving the look and layout of their stores, customer access and awareness, and increasing sales.
To keep the momentum going and support this important and significant evolution, Grundfos then ran a sales competition in each state and the North and South Islands of New Zealand with the winners getting $5000 towards a store makeover or upgrade. These are to be completed by AUSTRALIAWIDE in February-March of 2016.
Grundfos are hopeful that all of the dealers who received the audits will implement the recommendations in the reports and that other dealers who did not attend the 2015 conference will also request audits and improve the visual merchandising of their dealerships.
